Job Title:  FX Developer/Vfx TD's/Shot TD's/Effects Artists

Reports to: Head of FX

Department: FX

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·Develop artistic and production methodology for effects systems.

·Create FX images (fire, fluids, smoke, explosions, destruction,  
dynamic simulation, procedural modeling, and procedural animation.

·Stay current with new and emerging technologies and attempt to  
implement them effectively.

Qualifications, Education and/or Experience

·Previous systems development including fire simulation and rendering,  
procedural fracturing and dynamics system, procedural tree modeling,  
Maya input and output system, hair simulation and rendering pipeline,  
plant rigging and animation system, footprint system, shader writing,  
and particle post-simulation manipulation pipeline.

·Experience writing scripts or expressions required (e.g. Mel, Csh,  
Perl). Aptitude in programming is also required (e.g. C, C++, Java).

·Knowledge of MAYA is a plus, but not required.

· Technical and artistic creativity required.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or computer  
graphics in addition to 2-3 years production experience (for  
mid-level) or 5-10 years production experience (for senior level) and  
shot work is a plus.
