Summary:

Meteor Studios is searching for a computer technician who will be  
responsible for workstations support (installation and administration)  
in a VFX production environment.  The ideal candidate will be a  
self-starter, highly dependable, with a "Can Do" attitude and should  
have good knowledge of Windows Server 2000/2003, Linux, and Mac OSX.   
He will use innovative methods to tackle challenges and find solutions  
all within budgetary requirements.

Details :

	*	Permanent position
	*	Full time, day shift

Responsibilities:

The computer technician is responsible for support of all users:

	*	Receive users/clients requests and provide technical support
	*	Insure maintenance of the production systems and workstations.   
Creating new accounts and moving workstations.
	*	Installs and debugs new and/or upgraded software on server and  
client platforms.
	*	Develops best practices, procedures and documentation to simplify  
his work and ensure information transfer
	*	Functions collaboratively as part of a fast-paced, customer oriented team.
	*	Performs effectively and is able to carry out responsibilities  
independently
	*	May require rotational on-call responsibility and longer hours  
depending on the workload

Qualifications:

Requirements:

	*	College degree in an I.T. field, or pertinent experience
	*	Good computer troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
	*	Ability (and will) to lift a minimum of 70lbs
	*	Ability to communicate effectively, in French and English (written  
& spoken), to management, fellow IT team members and technical or  
non-technical users

Assets:

	*	1-2 years experience in multiplatform (Linux/OSX/Windows) systems
