employees dedicated to the highest level of visual effects and  
character animation for film and television. Since it's opening in  
2001, Meteor Studios has participated in the creation of projectssuch  
as Alien Planet, Fantastic Four and Final Destination III.

Details:

Our artists produce high-resolution images every hour, every day for  
which we require custom software solutions.  We are looking for a  
software developer to work on studio pipeline and productivity tools.   
Developers at Meteor Studios are actively involved with all aspects of  
internal tool development, from specification to coding, interface  
design, and documentation.  As a developer in our studio, we expect  
you to enjoy supporting and interacting with a highly creative user  
base. This is a permanent, full time position.

Main responsibilities:

	*	Design and develop tools to improve the studio's productivity and  
internal management
	*	Report regularly on task status, problems and solutions
	*	Provide documentations for tools/scripts developed.
	*	Provide training to artistic and production staff
	*	Acquire and maintain up-to-date knowledge in the relevant fields

Requirements:

	*	Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Information Technology
	*	2 to 5 years of experience in similar functions
	*	Familiar with following environments:  LINUX / PYTHON / C++ / PHP/ SQL
	*	Basic knowledge of 2D/3D graphics
	*	Knowledge of 2D/3D software an asset
	*	French and English (written and spoken)
	*	Able to understand project objectives and applying the tools and  
knowledge to achieve them
	*	Able to manage priorities effectively
	*	Displays initiative and is pro-active
	*	Applies good judgment and diplomacy
	*	Excellent communication skills
	*	Ability to work alone or on a team
	*	Strong interest in visual effects and animation
