  POSITION:  Artist Support - Pipeline Specialist**


  *DEPARTMENT:  r+h | boX  (Commercials Division)***



    Position Summary

Rhythm & Hues special projects unit, r+h | boX, has an immediate opening 
for an Artist Support - Pipeline Specialist.  The boX is a challenging, 
fast-paced, team-oriented post-production unit known for high profile 
work in television, games and film.  

 


    Required Skills/Experience

·         Strong Windows 2000 / XP System Administration skills focusing 
on account management, system monitoring, general maintenance, backups, 
data archiving, RAID management and system troubleshooting is required.

 

·         Good working knowledge of Lightwave 3D - strong knowledge and 
experience in solving Lightwave 3d scene and rendering problems, queue 
management, plugin conflicts, optimizing scenes and models, etc.

 

·         Ability to write C/C++ programs and utilize the SDK libraries 
of Lightwave and Digital Fusion is important.  Knowledge in Lscript and 
LUA scripting is also desired.

 

·         Asset Management; focusing on organizing and maintaining the 
group's asset library of models, textures, effects sequences, etc.

 

·         Excellent organizational and communication skills are needed 
as individual acts as liaison between the boX and other R+H support 
personnel, as well as actively participates in the LightwaveBETA program.

 

·         Ability to research, recommend and implement new tools and 
procedures to streamline the production pipeline.

 


    Desired Skills/Experience

·         3d Modeling and animation

·         Photoshop

·         Boujou or Syntheyes
