Lighting Technical Director 

Few entertainment companies embrace the future of filmmaking more

veterans of George Lucas' Industrial Light + Magic, the company based in Los
Angeles and San Francisco has become a leading force in high-end visual
effects and animation services, motion picture and broadcast production, and
filmmaking technology development and licensing. 

In its brief history, The Orphanage has become internationally recognized
for visual effects innovation and celebrated for elevating filmmaking
technology. 

We are currently looking for a Lighting Technical Director in our San
Francisco office. 

Duties:
- Use lighting to support the creative and technical look of the project 
- Work closely with the creative team to add additional elements to enhance
and complete the work 

Qualifications:
- Proven lighting skills in a variety of VFX environments 
- Strong sense of composition, light, and color 
- Education or experience in fine arts, film making, photography, or
architecture 
- Solid knowledge of UNIX and shell scripting with the ability to
troubleshoot 
- Ability to take direction positively, work well within a team, and thrive
under the pressure of tight deadlines
