Few entertainment companies embrace the future of filmmaking more
passionately than The Orphanage. Founded in 1999 by three visual effects
veterans of George Lucas' Industrial Light + Magic, the company based in Los
Angeles and San Francisco has become a leading force in high-end visual
effects and animation services, motion picture and broadcast production, and
filmmaking technology development and licensing. 

In its brief history, The Orphanage has become internationally recognized
for visual effects innovation and celebrated for elevating filmmaking
technology. 

We are currently looking for a Compositor in our San Francisco office. 

Duties:
- Seamlessly integrate all layers or elements of a shot, including
live-action elements 
- Work closely with Visual Effects Supervisor and CG Supervisor to add
additional elements to complete the shot 

Qualifications:
- Artistic and designing skills with an emphasis in composition and color 
- Technical experience in photography, lighting, or production helpful 
- Good working knowledge of Adobe After Effects; Digital Fusion a plus 
- Strong understanding of VFX pipeline 
- Proficiency in UNIX and shell scripting preferred 
- Minimum one year digital compositing experience in a production
environment 
- Able to take direction positively, work well within a team, and thrive
under the pressure of tight deadlines
