veterans of George Lucas' Industrial Light + Magic, the company based in Los
Angeles and San Francisco has become a leading force in high-end visual
effects and animation services, motion picture and broadcast production, and
filmmaking technology development and licensing. 

In its brief history, The Orphanage has become internationally recognized
for visual effects innovation and celebrated for elevating filmmaking
technology. 

We are currently looking for a Recruiter in our San Francisco office.

The Recruiter will be responsible for full-cycle recruiting in a high
turnover, high tech environment.   Recruiting functions include locating top
talent, interviewing applicants, consulting with candidates on industry
trends and placing candidates on a contract and permanent basis. Individuals
in this position work in a team environment, while being held accountable
for individual open requisitions. 

 
Detailed Responsibilities:  
- Direct sourcing candidates  

- Proactively conduct research and investigate new ideas to create
innovative sourcing strategies. - Strong focus on sourcing passive
candidates through networking, cold-calling, referrals, complex internet
searches and research.  

- Source active candidates from on-line databases, contact lists, etc.  
- Development of solid and fluid candidate base.  
- Act as a search expert for a functional area by understanding functional
hiring needs, position specifications and search requirements.  
- Partner with team to generate ideas, leverage resources and share
information that facilitates an effective search process.  
- Screen candidates for availability, interest level, salary range,
relocation needs and basic qualifications.  
- Maintain communication with candidates through interview process  
- Stay current with industry trends and development  
- Consultative recruitment service delivery, working collaboratively with
hiring managers and related personnel  
- Recruiting, interviewing and closing pre-qualified candidates  
- Defining, implementing and executing recruiting and sourcing strategies
that meet the staffing needs of the hiring managers  
 
 
Skill Requirements:  
 
Technical Skills  
- Bachelor's degree required.  
- Minimum of 5 years of professional work experience ideally in the vfx
industry

- Strong Research skills are essential to the role.  
- Excellent business acumen and strong written and oral communication skills
are required.  
 
Interpersonal Skills  
- Effective at presenting to and building relationships with executive
management.  
- Professionalism, the ability to build and maintain a vast network of
professional relationships over a long period of time, and strong oral and
written communication and presentation skill.  
- Proven negotiation skills, the ability to persuade and influence decision
makers and executives.  
- Candidates must have a passion to achieve excellence in sales and be
highly self motivated  
- Candidates must possess a competitive drive, personal integrity, and a
strong work ethic 
- Superior ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize.  
- Must be a top performer with an excellent track record of success.
